Supported Education Program

Services

Supported Education is a program which assists Valeo clients who have a psychiatric disability and/or dual diagnosis in achieving education goals. We offer unique and individualized assistance in planning, enrolling, and gaining the academic skills needed to be successful in post-secondary academic settings (college, vocation/technical schools, and universities). This program is a collaborative partnership between Valeo Behavioral Health Care and The University of Kansas' School of Social Welfare. Our Education Specialists possess best practice knowledge and specific skills in academic policies, accommodations, and any other support.

  • Recommendations & Monitoring of Academic Accommodations- The Americans with Disabilities Act ensures that students with a documented disability are eligible for reasonable educational accommodations.
  • Assistance for Assignment Deadlines, Scheduling, & Tutors
  • Academic Crisis Intervention
