Services

Services Include answering crisis calls for suicide prevention, screening for psychiatric hospitalization, and conducting initial assessments. Initial assessment, and appointment scheduling for all Valeo services is done Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm by calling Crisis Intake at 785-233-1730 ext. 3200. Our 24-Hour Crisis Hotline is operated by Kansas Health Solutions, the mental health managed care provider for the state of Kansas. Services are available to individuals who live, work, or own property in Shawnee County regardless of ability to pay. We serve people from adjoining counties on a sliding fee scale. Crisis Intake Services accommodates physical disabilities, and those in need of language and sign language interpreters. Our goal is to aid in development of a viable coping plan and alleviation of presenting symptoms.

  • Average wait time 30-45 minutes

Staffing

  • Hotline Clinician Minimum Qualification- B.A. in Psychology, Social Work, or related Mental Health Field
  • Intake Clinicians Minimum Qualification- M.A. in Psychology, Social Work, or related Mental Health Field
